Abstract

Right personnel selection is always an important problem for companies. Especially today, with globalizing world, developing technologies and increasing specialization, human resources management personnel can become inadequate about the right personnel selection. Especially in the areas of business, where human life is concerned, right personnel selection decision become more important and critical. One of the other important problems encountered during personnel selection process is the presence of decisions with subjective judgements. It is taken attention that MOORA method has the success of making the right decision when the studies in the literature is observed. Because of this, in this study, An integrated grey AHP–MOORA approach is presented for personnel selection. The reason of selection of grey numbers is its success of representing subjective judgements and including the bias caused by personal judgements by minimizing it during the selection process. Firstly, through this perspective, after the introduction section, a literature review evaluating the studies on personnel selection is allocated. In Section 3, operation with grey numbers are explained. In Section 4, grey AHP method and In Section 5, grey MOORA method are explained in detail. In Section 6, proposed integrated grey AHP–MOORA approach is given with step by step explanation. In Section 7, an application on manager selection in health industry is carried out as a real life problem and its results are validated by comparing with different methods.
